THE ARMENIAN FLAG
The evolution of the Armenian flag takes us from ancient times when the flag had carvings on it representing a dragon, an eagle, or some mysterious object of the gods, to the Middle Ages and the Rubenian Dynasty where the white flag carried a red-lion with raised paws.

Armenian Tricolor (1918)

After the downfall of the Rubenian Dynasty and the loss of Armenian Independence, Father Alishan created his own Tricolor, red, green and white.

Finally, the Government of the Independent Republic of Armenia adopted the colors red, blue, and orange for the flag. Thus, the origin of the beautiful Tricolor became the Armenian flag.
