ARMENIAN SUPERSTITIONS
Here are some interesting Superstitions I use to hear when I was growing up. Do they sound familiar to you? Do you know any more?

Armenians never start a new project on Tuesday because it will never turn out or be completed.

If someone enters through a front door, they must leave from the same door.

Never cross a path a snake has made. One must walk around it or else bad luck will befall them.

Blue beads protect one from an evil wish or the evil eye. Some spell breaking phrases are: "God be with you"--- "Mashalah"--- "Scratch your back".

The oak doors of Etchmiadzin tell you if your wish will come true. You pick a pebble up, ask God something, and rub the pebble once along the main door, which faces the Seminary. If the pebble sticks, your request will come true.

At New Year’s or on one’s birthday, you must tie a thread (preferably green) around someone’s finger three times; the recipient must make a wish each time. Each recipient should do this to seven different persons.

Best Wishes from "Chezok".
